Run For Sudan is Nile Active's founding campaign. It started from the University of Southampton Sudanese Society and grew into a city-wide student and community effort, bringing runners, societies, volunteers and supporters together for Sudan.
The 2026 debut brought nearly 100 runners to the ABP Southampton Marathon Festival and raised nearly £10,000 across donation platforms. Round Two is now building for 2027.

Run For Sudan is not just a one-day marathon campaign. It is connected to an ongoing local running community in Southampton, with social runs, training sessions, society collaborations and campaign events building throughout the year.
The goal is to make movement regular, visible and welcoming. Whether you are training for your first 5K or preparing for a marathon, there is a place for you in the campaign.

Sadagaat has supported vulnerable communities for more than 15 years through projects across feeding, health, WASH and education. The campaign supports work that helps rebuild infrastructure, strengthen social services and provide urgent support to communities affected by the crisis.
